Ugadi is the New Year’s festival for the people of Karnataka. It is celebrated on the first day of the Hindu month of Chaitra, which usually falls in March or April. The word “ugadi” is derived from two Kannada words: “uga” meaning new and “adi” meaning beginning. We celebrate the new year by sharing  jaggery and neem mixture. In this video, I briefly explain the significance of Jaggery and Neem leaves in Ugadi, and what we can learn from this tradition about how to lead our life.
