You need:
- 1 cup organic black eyed peas
- 1 organic sweet potato, cubed
- 1 small ball of organic tamarind
- 1 tbsp chili powder with Italian seasoning (use 1 tsp for mild spice)
- 1 tsp Himalayan pink salt
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 1 cup Bulgar wheat
- 2 tbsp organic ginger, chopped
- 2 cups organic spinach
- 4 cloves
- 4 cardamom pods, crushed
- 3 cups water
To make:
- Soak black-eyed peas for at least 6 hours.
- Assemble all ingredients in a hot pot in the same order as listed.
- Cook in ‘high’ setting for 20 minutes.
- Stir well and add 2 tablespoons of organic coconut oil .
- Add 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro leaves.
- Serve warm
