Apple Poori (C) Living Sattva, 2019
Apple Poori is a sweet and salty preparation

You need:

  1. 1 apple
  2. 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  3. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  4. 1 cup whole wheat flour
  5. 1/4 teaspoon ajwain
  6. 1/2 cup water
  7. 1/4 cup coconut oil for frying

To do:

  1. Blend, apple, ginger and salt to fine mixture. Add 1 tablespoon water if necessary.
  2. Knead the apple blend with salt, wheat flour and ajwain to a thick dough.
  3. Heat the oil in low flame in a heavy bottomed vessel.
  4. Pinch lemon sized balls from the dough and roll it into small circles.
  5. Fry Pooris on both sides.
  6. Drain on paper towel and serve warm.

Serving suggestions: Serve with Eggplant fry, Potato in tamarind gravy, Stuffed bell peppers, and Puzhukku
