From the pre-dawn hush

to the evening lamp

Twelve weeks of sacred practice: Sri Suktam for abundance, Hanuman Chalisa for courage, Sri Vishnu Sahasranama for healing.
October 20, 2026 → January 14, 2027 · live daily, open to all

Three phases, one arc of the day

Each practice keeps the hour it has always kept: abundance before sunrise, courage and healing after sunset. Times below in Central, Eastern, and Indian Standard Time.

I

Sri Sukta Sadhana

Wealth Manifestation · Sri Suktam
Oct 20 – Nov 8 · daily, 6:30–7:00 AM CT
7:30–8:00 AM ET
5:00–5:30 PM IST (through Oct 31) · 6:00–6:30 PM IST (from Nov 1)

Why this hour

Brahma Muhurta, the last stretch of dark before sunrise, is held as the mind’s clearest window, and mantra spoken here is said to travel unobstructed. Sri Suktam, the Vedic hymn to Goddess Lakshmi, invokes her eight forms of abundance; chanted at this hour, it clears the ground before the day’s first distraction arrives.

Hanuman Vratam

Hanuman Chalisa & Hanuman Aarti
Nov 9 – Dec 22 · daily, 8:00–9:00 PM CT
9:00–10:00 PM ET
7:30–8:30 AM IST (following morning)

Why this hour

Dusk is Hanuman’s traditional watch, the hour he is said to stand guard as day changes hands. Forty-four unbroken evenings of the Chalisa, written by Tulsidas as a mirror of Hanuman’s own virtues, are held to build those same qualities in whoever repeats them.

III

Sri Vishnu Sahasranama

The Thousand Names of Vishnu
Dec 23 – Jan 14 · daily, 8:00–9:00 PM CT
9:00–10:00 PM ET
7:30–8:30 AM IST (following morning)

Why this hour

The thousand names, drawn from the Mahabharata, are traditionally chanted at day’s end to settle what the day has stirred up. Bhishma is said to have offered them from his deathbed as the one teaching that heals every kind of discord, a fitting close to a season that began with abundance and courage.

Every lamp needs someone to keep the oil

No priests run this series; volunteers do. The same small group shows up before dawn and again at dusk, day after day, to lead the chant and hold the stream together for everyone joining from home. Their time is freely given; what it costs is the room, the stream, and the printed material that reaches you. If you’re able, your contribution covers that and keeps the lamp lit for the next batch of volunteers. Any amount is received as seva, not a fee.

108 carries its own weight in this tradition: the beads on a mala, the names counted sacred to the Devi, the Upanishads gathered into that number. It felt right to let the price carry it too.
